MMVR 17 Call For Presentations postcard design comps.
NOTE: These rough comps are at the earliest stages of the design process. Please keep in mind that the design that is picked will be developed and enhanced to take full advantage of the concept. The fonts are used as placeholders only as are many of the colors shown. Also, we started the design process with the proportions of a brochure, as we often do, but the design will be adapted to a postcard format of 8.5" x 5.5".

Comp 1a
The concept here is of the caduceus rising out of the well. Classic warm gray tones in the background set the stage for color in the type and color bars. The colors shown are just suggestions and may be modified if this design is chosen.

Comp 1b
This spiral effect represents the well with a more graphic approach. The soft lime green is refreshing and is complimented by the olive green and violet colors. The caduceus will need to be modified/enhanced to integrate better with the background.

Comp 1c
This brightly colored starburst effect is representative of the energy within well being and the caduceus is placed so that the hotspot shines through the core of the figure. Cool blues, perhaps purple, are a good compliment to this design with its predominantly warm cast.

Comp 1d
This more abstract background features the calmness of blue with soft curves and a bowl-like effect at the bottom which could represent the well. The grid like mesh in the abstract forms also renders a technological aspect. Warm tones in the type compliment the cool blue.

Comp 1e
This well concept is reminiscent of water ripples but with strong abstract overtones. The bright cyan of the background is offset by the warm orange tone of the top bar producing an energetic color scheme.
